Joram has been making blades since 1988. He started when he attended Bradley University in Illinois as a Jewelry Design and Print Making student. After attending Bradley, he entered into an apprenticeship under Daniel Watson of Angel Sword headquartered in Texas. During the majority of his time under Mr. Watson he was the Head Apprentice in charge of quality before Daniels' final inspection. He then worked as a goldsmith under Greg Grimmel of Port Lligat, a master goldsmith in Minnesota, where he learned even more about the fine art of working with precious metals and setting precious stones. Joram also worked as a goldsmith for Reller, Inc. in Florida. Joram has also spent some time working as a sculptor since 1999. He learned and refined his skills as an ornamental metalsmith starting in 2000 working for such metalsmiths as Jack Klahm of Klahm & Sons, Chip VanPelt of Art Metal Studios and Tommy Moore of Double R, all of which are in Florida, as well as for our clients here at Tilaru Metalsmithing. Joram is a member of Northern Rockies Blacksmiths Association. |
